In the 8th minute Jose Santio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Paublo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfredo Sayvion during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Canning got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Sayvion. Ulises Perrando, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Apolo Paublo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristobal Rosalio's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The supporters of Contratista booed when Canning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristobal Rosalio came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Contratista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Rosalio couldn't finish the play. Apolo Paublo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Rosalio in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Jose Santio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Canning's Apolo Paublo. Apolo Paublo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 32 played minutes Canning got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Escobar. After recieving a nice pass, Contratista's Ulises Perrando tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Apolo Paublo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristobal Rosalio's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Santio in the 40th minute of play forced Canning's goalkeeper Apolo Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Paublo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Santio in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Canning getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dante Iztal hit a great ball. When Cristobal Rosalio came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Contratista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Rosalio couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristobal Rosalio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cristobal Rosalio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apolo Paublo. Cristobal Rosalio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Canning's Justino Tabby got a free kick in the 55th minute. Dante Iztal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Canning's Apolo Paublo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Canning from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Canning's Apolo Paublo got control of the ball when Jose Santio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 minutes, Dante Iztal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canning and the Contratista players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 61 minutes, Cristobal Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Contratista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Rosalio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Contratista's Cristobal Rosalio in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canning's goalie prevented a goal. 64 minutes into the game, one of Canning:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Apolo Paublo had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Ulises Perrando's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Canning defense, Ulises Perrando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Paublo. The Canning fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Paublo should have stopped the shot. Cristobal Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristobal Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Fagildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Paublo having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match, Cristobal Rosalio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Apolo Paublo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wilfredo Sayvion got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Contratista booed when Canning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Cristobal Rosalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute Cristobal Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Paublo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Goiz in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, one of Contratista:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cristobal Abancens struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Apolo Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Contratista. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Santio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Apolo Paublo. That made the score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. 101 minutes into the match, Contratista's Jose Santio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Paublo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Contratista played a much better game than Canning and deserved their victory. The Canning players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
