The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Huasayacu's Clodoveo Gonzalez got control of the ball when Wilfredo Paublo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilfredo Paublo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Clodoveo Gonzalez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná AFC. With his leg Freddy Lain managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Huasayacu's Carlos Maldonado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Huasayacu's Clodoveo Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Paublo in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Paraná AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Cristos to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Cristos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Paraná AFC had been in control for most of the match, Huasayacu still came away with the win.
