With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatan Gilabert in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Thomas saved Devisadero AFC from getting behind. Jonatan Gilabert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Osvaldo Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernasconi AFC's Leonel Ralondo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devisadero AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Bernasconi AFC's Luciano Gelmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Bernasconi AFC from getting a goal against them. Rene Bertol charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Bertol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Leonel Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Jonatan Gilabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Devisadero AFC booed when Bernasconi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Bertol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Devisadero AFC's Zacarias Aimar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Ralondo to make the kick off. Devisadero AFC's Osvaldo Thomas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Devisadero AFC from getting a goal against them. Leonel Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Ralondo in the 59th minute of play forced Devisadero AFC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Gilabert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Thomas firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 79 played minutes Devisadero AFC got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Nesto. With an all-out effort, Bernasconi AFC's Osvaldo Thomas threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leonel Ralondo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernabe Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Galindo struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Luciano Gelmiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devisadero AFC. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bernasconi AFC's goalkeeper Luciano Gelmiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernabe Aragones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Gelmiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Devisadero AFC's Bernabe Aragones got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bernabe Aragones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Zeledon Gurutz fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bernasconi AFC's protests and gave Zeledon Gurutz a yellow card for diving instead. Zeledon Gurutz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gustavo Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Devisadero AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bernasconi AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Bernasconi AFC.
