An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Esiquio in the 20th minute of play forced New City FC's goalkeeper Rafael Nesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Nogal got a freekick which was hit by Albino Gilabert. After recieving a nice pass, New City FC's Arturo Odon tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Natalio Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Nesor having to interfere. Felix Vermudo's late challenge caught a Nogal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Vermudo helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes New City FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Vermudo. 31 minutes into the match, New City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Lander came free, but Rafael Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Primo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Natalio Lander's late challenge caught a New City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 41st minute, Serafino Esiquio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardino Panfilo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Nesor. New City FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felix Vermudo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desiderio Lizardi was the one to do the kick off. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind New City FC's goalkeeper Rafael Nesor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nogal's zone, Desiderio Lizardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Maule came out of the goal and Desiderio Lizardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Lizardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New City FC's Desiderio Lizardi got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Serafino Esiquio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
