Marciano Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Saverio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ezequiel Gaueko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saverio Marques. Álvarez AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benigno Mikelar took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saverio Marques. Saverio Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Mikelar in the 31st minute of play forced Álvarez AFC's goalkeeper Saverio Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marciano Lia came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Cienaguita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Lia couldn't finish the play. Saverio Marques came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Cienaguita's Benigno Mikelar. But to his dismay, Benigno Mikelar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leonardo Torres made the kick off in the second half. Marciano Lia struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Saverio Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cienaguita. Claudio Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Álvarez AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Mikelar came free, but Saverio Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Álvarez AFC's Claudio Furtado got a free kick in the 64th minute. Saverio Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Mikelar's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Cienaguita's Benigno Mikelar got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marciano Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saverio Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Everardo Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benigno Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Marques having to interfere. Marciano Lias short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Saverio Marques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Benigno Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Álvarez AFC's Saverio Marques got control of the ball when Marciano Lia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 played minutes Álvarez AFC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Baristo. Marciano Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Saverio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95thth minute of the game Marciano Lia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Álvarez AFC's Saverio Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marciano Lia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Saverio Marques made a huge save.
