Cardoso's Adan Sasoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Gaitan in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, C.A. Independiente's Isaac Panpili got control of the ball when Danilo Iraunkor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute, Serafino Barto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isaac Panpili. The goal made the score 2-0. The attack was good, but when Serafino Barto in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Danilo Iraunkor came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Cardoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Iraunkor couldn't finish the play. Danilo Iraunkor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Panpili having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Gaitan to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lázaro Policarpio got free with Adan Sasoin in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafino Barto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Isaac Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, C.A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cardoso's Abel Gipuzkoa tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Luciano Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Barto in the 77th minute of the match. When Danilo Iraunkor came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Cardoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Iraunkor couldn't finish the play. Adolfo Oliverios's late challenge caught a C.A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Oliverios helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Cardoso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Oliverios to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Danilo Iraunkor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaac Panpili was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Serafino Barto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Danilo Iraunkor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardoso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Iraunkor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Iraunkor in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Panpili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Cardoso players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
