In the 5th minute Richmond Van Glabeeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richmond Van Glabeeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Yong Nan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Francisco José Millán sent off a good shot on target. Edu Gaspar hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Felipe Barreto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gong Yong Nan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Francisco José Millán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Wilson Amorim was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Francisco José Millán capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco José Millán really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Gong Yong Nan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 19th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matia Climent, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 27th minute of play forced Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Gong Yong Nan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Florentino Checa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Moreira took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gong Yong Nan. Gong Yong Nan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Puerto de Sagunto CF were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edu Gaspar took the corner. After 45 played minutes Puerto de Sagunto CF got a freekick which was hit by Robin Ahlrot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Richmond Van Glabeeke made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Francisco José Millán made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gong Yong Nan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gong Yong Nan. Felipe Barreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Puerto de Sagunto CF made a substitution. Doroteo Astudillo replaced Florentino Checa. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco José Millán in the 72nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Gong Yong Nan threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viriato Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gong Yong Nan made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Caetano Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco José Millán in the 84th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco José Millán, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
