Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ptloleero's Honorato Precioso got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Nueva Esparta getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tomás Oihenarte hit a great ball. The long shot by Ignacio Jerico in the 13th minute really tested Nestor Bastian's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Godofredo Kiliz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Nestor Bastian skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Lázaro Goyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Goyo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Bastian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nueva Esparta's Hilario Bernaldo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nestor Bastian but with some difficulty. Jose Resto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Mikelar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Intxixu got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 39th minute, Ignacio Intxixu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Oihenarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nestor Bastian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, ptloleero's Enrique Mikelar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Resto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Enrique Mikelar made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Kiliz struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nestor Bastian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Esparta. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nueva Esparta! When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, ptloleero's Bonifacio Boni got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jose Resto. Jose Resto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorato Precioso in the 60th minute. If Godofredo Kiliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Enzo Lordi charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Lordi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, ptloleero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Lordi to maneuver through the defense. During the 91st minute of the match Enzo Lordi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Enzo Lordi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Kiliz in the 94th minute of play forced ptloleero's goalkeeper Nestor Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ptloleero walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
