Fidel Jakes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Herrera in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Ferman in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Frichoso saved Chascomús FC from getting behind. 15 minutes into the game, Elpidio Ferman lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Serafino Frichoso. When Braulio Tartalo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chascomús FC's protests and gave Braulio Tartalo a yellow card for diving instead. Braulio Tartalo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Newells fc's Lucas Claris got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafino Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Ferman in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Chascomús FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Ferman came free, but Serafino Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Chascomús FC's Braulio Tartalo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fidel Jakes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 30 minutes, Lucas Claris made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chascomús FC's Serafino Frichoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Newells fc's Elpidio Ferman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafino Frichoso. That made the score 3-1 after 33 minutes of play. Elpidio Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Serafino Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Claris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Frichoso having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Claris in the 67th minute of play forced Chascomús FC's goalkeeper Serafino Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Frichoso having to interfere. Serafino Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Claris, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. During the 75th minute of the match Ulises Heli completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ulises Heli a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 76 played minutes Chascomús FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Heli. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Ferman in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Frichoso saved Chascomús FC from getting behind. After 79 played minutes Chascomús FC got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Gonsalvo. In the 80th minute Lucas Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Frichoso having to interfere. The supporters of Newells fc booed when Chascomús FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Demario didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chascomús FC's zone, Lucas Claris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Frichoso came out of the goal and Lucas Claris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Lucas Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Ferman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newells fc's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
