The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Teodosio Eron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute, Esteban Navarro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severo Haritz. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Ateneo Haedo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Fonda to maneuver through the defense. After 16th play minutes Reynaldo Sandalio shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Edgard Tristan and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 20th minute of the match Miguel Aurken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Tristan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Reynaldo Sandalio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ateneo Haedo F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Tomazone F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cristobal Indalecio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Navarro in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severo Haritz saved Ateneo Haedo F.C. from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Navarro got free with Severo Haritz in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Ateneo Haedo F.C. defense, Ubaldo Tome kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Haritz. The Ateneo Haedo F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Haritz should have stopped the shot. Esteban Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geronimo Onofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Severo Haritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Ubaldo Tome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The audience was convinced that Esteban Navarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severo Haritz was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Ubaldo Tome struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Severo Haritz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tomazone F.C.. In the 66th minute of the match Remigio Argi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severo Haritz skillfully saved the ball. Tomazone F.C.'s attack was well implemented in the 67th minute, but when Esteban Navarro was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After having played for 69 minutes, Ubaldo Tome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomazone F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Tome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Haritz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Navarro's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes Ateneo Haedo F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ceferino Lauro who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Santos Ricart heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hilario Ralondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Edgard Tristan made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Esteban Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomazone F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Navarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Haritz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodosio Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Geronimo Onofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Haritz having to interfere. Tomazone F.C.'s Edgard Tristan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Tomazone F.C. from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tomazone F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
