After a rather tough play, Juventus Football Club's Eloy Sadurni got a free kick in the 18th minute. Epifanio Figueroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Osoitz in the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute Jacobo Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Txordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jacobo Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Oliverios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Txordon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacobo Oliverios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Txordon having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacobo Oliverios made a kick off. Angel Txordon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 72 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ranolfo. 75 minutes into the match, Jacobo Oliverios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Txordon. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacobo Oliverios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Oliverios in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Txordon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juventus Football Club were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
