After a defensive mix-up in Pilar FC's zone, Ariel Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Millano came out of the goal and Ariel Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Godfredo Firman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Adrian Millano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pilar FC's Adrian Millano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Cordeiro in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Abelardo Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Millano. Pilar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Adrian Millano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Guillelmo in the 43rd minute of the match. Ariel Mero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ariel Mero in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Millano saved Pilar FC from getting behind. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when Aráoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelo Gergori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pilar FC's Adrian Millano got control of the ball when Abelardo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Abelardo Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aráoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Adrian Millano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ariel Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aráoz's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Mero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Millano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ariel Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Adrian Millano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aráoz's Abelardo Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Aráoz booed when Pilar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Pierres didn't get a good kick on the ball.
