Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Gaskon took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 13th minute Manuel Gaskon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Tercero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Argina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Igon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Filomeno Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mártires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Igon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Gaskon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tercero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Odol in the 30th minute of play forced Mártires's goalkeeper Paulo Tercero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gregorio Argina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Filomeno Igon made a precise shot to the right of Gregorio Argina. Club Sportivo Villa Cubas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Severiano Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severiano Odol's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paulo Tercero firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Gaskon in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Tercero saved Mártires from getting behind. Manuel Gaskon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Paulo Tercero managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Club Sportivo Villa Cubas's Severiano Odol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Filomeno Igon struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gregorio Argina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mártires. Manuel Gaskon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tercero having to interfere. If Inocencio Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Gaskon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Tercero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mártires fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Sportivo Villa Cubas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
