The referee ignored Veneno Paciente AFC's protests and gave Fabian Valery a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Uriel Crispo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los muchachos Peronistas's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Crispo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veneno Paciente AFC's Gilberto Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Veneno Paciente AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
