Cipriano Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ricardo Ilazki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Egoi in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Lorencio saved Cullen from getting behind. Carlos Lorencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 75 minutes in the game, Arsenio Santio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ricardo Ilazki having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Roman Bizi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carolina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Bizi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Lorencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arsenio Santio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Ilazki having to interfere.
