Enrique Chepe hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Josefina's zone, Jose Oskitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Bidun came out of the goal and Jose Oskitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Eriberto Firmin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nueva Chicago's Reynaldo Patxi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hermengildo Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Josefina's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Malvin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Patxi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Malvin in the 23rd minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Reynaldo Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Handi struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Dalmacio Bidun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago. Dalmacio Bidun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Perrando in the 33rd minute of play. A hard shot 36 in the game by Eriberto Firmin from a close distance when the talented Reynaldo Patxi managed to make a qualified save. Nueva Chicago's players were relieved. Nueva Chicago's Reynaldo Patxi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Nueva Chicago from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's Jose Oskitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmacio Bidun narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Perrando to make the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Josefina's Eriberto Firmin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Patxi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute Club Deportivo Josefina were awarded a corner. Hermengildo Malvin went to the cornerflag to take it. Hermengildo Malvin made a great header on Club Deportivo Josefina's corner, it was just that Nueva Chicago's Reynaldo Patxi managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Eriberto Firmin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Patxi was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Reynaldo Patxi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Firmin went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Nueva Chicago's Gabriel Sugoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmacio Bidun. That made the score 2-1 after 85 minutes of play. The supporters of Club Deportivo Josefina booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Henrico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Firmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportivo Josefina walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
