Spectators: 7004 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1470, VIP seats: 134) eddy fc's Edgard Ongile started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severo Rivero lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 4th minute, one of Mocoretá FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mocoretá FC. Gaston Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Mocoretá FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Avellaneda helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mocoretá FC booed when eddy fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Avellaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind eddy fc's goalkeeper Moises Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute Orlando Patxi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Moises Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. eddy fc's Moises Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Patxi in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Mocoretá FC got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Bizen. When Arturo Ferman came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the eddy fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Ferman couldn't finish the play. Enrique Ovando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the game, Edgard Ongile recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enrique Ovando. Edgard Ongile showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Bladi during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raimundo Bladi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Patxi made a kick off. Raimundo Bladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Azevedo having to interfere. Hugo Rey hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Hugo Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Tavio during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, eddy fc's Fernando Tavio got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, one of eddy fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Moises Azevedo came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Mocoretá FC's Orlando Patxi. But to his dismay, Orlando Patxi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 94 played minutes eddy fc got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Ongile. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
