The corner ended in Ignacio Gonzales almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Defferrari's Benjamin Celino did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Iraitz in the 5th minute of play forced Defferrari's goalkeeper Benjamin Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Fresco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Benjamin Celino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Hondo couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Defferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Hondo came free, but Benjamin Celino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defferrari's Benjamin Celino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Fresco in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Leon Vincent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Celino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jairo Fresco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Celino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Defferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Fresco came free, but Benjamin Celino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Defferrari got a freekick which was hit by Dario Bizi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Fresco in the 40th minute of play forced Defferrari's goalkeeper Benjamin Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alumni's Lorenzo Beltxe got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Celino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Hondo in the 44th minute of the match. When Fulgencio Iraitz came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Alumni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Iraitz couldn't finish the play. When Candido Petri fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defferrari's protests and gave Candido Petri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Defferrari getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Candido Petri hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Vincent to make the kick off. Ezequiel Crispo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Leon Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Hondo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Celino having to make a save. Ignacio Gonzales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Lorenzo Beltxe came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Alumni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Beltxe couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Celino having to interfere. With a little luck, Defferrari's Benjamin Celino got control of the ball when Rodolfo Hondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alumni's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
