The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Mannuel in the 5th minute of play forced Fisherton's goalkeeper Isidro Ubelteso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Vinicio Cugat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Valentine came out of the goal and Vinicio Cugat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Cugat in the 23rd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Evelio Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adolfo Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Bastian charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Bastian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fisherton booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Bastian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Fisherton got a corner. Borussia Dortmund's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Agustin Garcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Agustin Garcia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Evelio Valentine quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38thth minute of the game Leonardo Mannuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fisherton's Isidro Ubelteso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fisherton's Isidro Ubelteso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Aimar in the 41st minute of play. Isidro Ubelteso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mannuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vinicio Cugat made a kick off. Daniel Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Isidro Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Ubelteso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mannuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Valentine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Cugat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Curcio might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evelio Valentine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Curcio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute of the match Anacleto Turi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evelio Valentine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Ubelteso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Curcio struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Evelio Valentine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fisherton. In the 95th play minute Daniel Aimar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Isidro Ubelteso. 0-1. The Borussia Dortmund supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borussia Dortmund would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
