Chapadmalal AFC's Aurelio Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Naelio in the 12th minute of play. Pablo Naelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aurelio Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Chapadmalal AFC defense, Pablo Naelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Estavan. The Chapadmalal AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Estavan should have stopped the shot. Aurelio Estavan came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Camilo Gaizko. But to his dismay, Camilo Gaizko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pablo Naelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Aurelio Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Naelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Camilo Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Pablo Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Pablo Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Gaston Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Donzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Racing Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Naelio to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Camilo Gaizko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurelio Estavan. That made the score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. If Pablo Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Gaizko got free with Aurelio Estavan in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pablo Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Estavan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Pablo Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Club's Pablo Naelio got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Chapadmalal AFC's Aurelio Estavan got control of the ball when Teo Araoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelio Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Naelio in the 87th minute of play. Aurelio Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Araoz to maneuver through the defense.
