The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernan Emenon during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Reyes Magos! An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Rios in the 9th minute of play forced Reyes Magos's goalkeeper Flavio Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of System of a Down booed when Reyes Magos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Claris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Flavio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Rolando Ledesma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reyes Magos's Flavio Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Abastas in the 22nd minute of play. After 29 played minutes Reyes Magos got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Ledesma. When Bernardo Rios came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the System of a Down fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Rios couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Santiago Abastas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Cristofol was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

After 61 played minutes, System of a Down's Osvaldo Miro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Cristofol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in System of a Down reached it. Reyes Magos's Guido Gelmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Reyes Magos got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Emenon. In the 72nd minute Bernardo Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Abastas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bernardo Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. System of a Down's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Cristofol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, System of a Down's Tomas Elija got a free kick in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Reyes Magos's Flavio Cristofol got control of the ball when Santiago Abastas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Santiago Abastas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Claris hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Santiago Abastas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Flavio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guido Gelmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
