Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Eleazar started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Monsalvo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Eleazar came free, but Teodoro Luken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vicente Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Olivar having to interfere. Jorge Olivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Ciudadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Torres. In the 13th minute, Anastasio Claus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jorge Olivar, passed just outside the right post. 18 minutes in the game, Baldomero Anaya fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jorge Olivar having to interfere. Segundo Torres hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ciudadela FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gregorio Baumar hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes Ciudadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Baumar. 23 minutes into the game, Baldomero Anaya recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jorge Olivar. Baldomero Anaya showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jorge Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Claus in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Claus in the 33rd minute of play forced Ciudadela FC's goalkeeper Jorge Olivar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Anaya in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Olivar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th match minute, Ciudadela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Torres to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Claus in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Olivar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cosme Hermelando fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monsalvo FC's protests and gave Cosme Hermelando a yellow card for diving instead. Baldomero Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Olivar having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anastasio Claus to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Baldomero Anaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciudadela FC's Jorge Olivar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Ciudadela FC defense, Anastasio Claus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Olivar. The Ciudadela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Olivar should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Mariano Eleazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomero Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Olivar having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Ciudadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Baumar. After having played for 66 minutes, Anastasio Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monsalvo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Claus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ciudadela FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Jorge Olivar had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Pastor Eguzki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ciudadela FC's zone, Anastasio Claus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Olivar came out of the goal and Anastasio Claus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Olivar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Anaya in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Monsalvo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Hermelando to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ciudadela FC defense, Baldomero Anaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Olivar. The Ciudadela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Olivar should have stopped the shot. A wasted opportunity for Monsalvo FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monsalvo FC had played much better football throughout.
