Vladimiro Arotza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 14 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Ikatz came free, but Casimiro Dabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Poz charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Matansilla AFC's Eduardo Poz got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vladimiro Arotza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Elia struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Casimiro Dabi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despidida. Samuel Elija stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimiro Arotza's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Guillermo Ikatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimiro Arotza made a kick off. Ariel Pasqual's late challenge caught a Matansilla AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Pasqual helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Despidida got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Pasqual. 52 minutes into the game, Guillermo Ikatz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Despidida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matansilla AFC the free kick. Guillermo Ikatz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Vladimiro Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Elia took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Dabi. Casimiro Dabi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 59th minute, Benedicto Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Virgilio Policarpio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Matansilla AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Policarpio couldn't finish the play. Pascual Elia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Dabi having to interfere. Casimiro Dabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Ikatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Matansilla AFC's zone, Guillermo Ikatz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Dabi came out of the goal and Guillermo Ikatz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matansilla AFC's goalkeeper Casimiro Dabi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guillermo Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's Vladimiro Arotza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Elija narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guillermo Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Despidida booed when Matansilla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Sarracino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despidida were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Matansilla AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Heriberto took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Ikatz in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Dabi saved Matansilla AFC from getting behind. Pascual Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Matansilla AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Despidida were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
