The Piquilin AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Irigoyen's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Pacifico came free, but Paulino Sotero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Mendebal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Baldomero Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Sotero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Pacifico, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Robustiano Llin took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulino Sotero. Paulino Sotero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulino Sotero went to the wrong direction when Ariel Admon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Marcelino Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Baldomero Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Grabiel struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Baldomero Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irigoyen. Piquilin AFC's Baldomero Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Mendebal in the 42nd minute of play. Augusto Reno charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Reno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Piquilin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Reno. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Llin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Piquilin AFC's Baldomero Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Mendebal in the 52nd minute of play. Marcelino Grabiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Irigoyen's Marcelino Grabiel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Ourente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 61 minutes into the match, Robustiano Llin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulino Sotero, 1-3. In the 67th match minute, Irigoyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Senen to maneuver through the defense. One of Piquilin AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Irigoyen:s goal. Paulino Sotero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Pacifico in the 93rd minute.
