The crowd rose to their feet as Languiñeo FC's Froilan Mannie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodolfo Urtsua. That made the score 1-1 after 18 minutes of play. Bernardo Lamberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Languiñeo FC's Pablo Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Procopio in the 23rd minute of play. Bernardo Lamberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Pablo Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pablo Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Procopio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Lamberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Claus charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Claus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Languiñeo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Claus to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Iztal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Lamberto's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Bernardo Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Lamberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pablo Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Lamberto came free, but Pablo Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes, Palmar FC's Arnaldo Musko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pablo Iztal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palmar FC reached it. Languiñeo FC's Pablo Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Lamberto in the 46th minute of play. Bernardo Lamberto took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Iztal. Pablo Iztal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

Pablo Iztal was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Bernardo Lamberto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernardo Lamberto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 83rd minute of the match Constantino Quintan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Urtsua skillfully saved the ball. If Santos Procopio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Lamberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pablo Iztal was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Palmar FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
