Vallecito's Celestino Bermudez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Patxi in the 7th minute of play. Prudencio Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Bermudez having to interfere. Joel Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Millrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Faustino Millrick kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Fiz. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Prudencio Ritchie's late challenge caught a Vallecito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Ritchie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Prudencio Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Millrick in the 30th minute of play forced Mataldi's goalkeeper Joel Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Patxi in the 37th minute of play. When Prudencio Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mataldi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Ritchie couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Mataldi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vallecito:s goal. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Vallecito. Leopoldo Estebano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joel Fiz. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Prudencio Ritchie made the kick off in the second half. Modesto Gaizkine charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modesto Gaizkine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Mataldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Gaizkine to maneuver through the defense. If Faustino Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Faustino Millrick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vallecito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Celestino Bermudez made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Prudencio Ritchie sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Vallecito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Gines to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Ritchie in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Celestino Bermudez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eugenio Cresenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Joel Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prudencio Ritchie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Celestino Bermudez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vallecito's Celestino Bermudez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Vallecito from getting a goal against them. Vallecito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Prudencio Ritchie scored to the left of an out of position Celestino Bermudez, making the score, 4-1. Prudencio Ritchie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Celestino Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Millrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mataldi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
