Valentin Silvanito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mafalda's goalkeeper Valentin Silvanito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Mafalda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Tirso to maneuver through the defense. Santo Guillelmo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Silvanito having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Mafalda's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Firman came free, but Valentin Silvanito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Silvanito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Guillelmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mafalda's Valentin Silvanito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Guillelmo in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Firman in the 44th minute of play forced Mafalda's goalkeeper Valentin Silvanito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mafalda's Valentin Silvanito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Guillelmo in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Delgado were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Tirso was the one to do the kick off. When Santo Guillelmo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Delgado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Guillelmo couldn't finish the play. When Haroldo Tirso fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mafalda's protests and gave Haroldo Tirso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Delgado booed when Mafalda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Tirso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mafalda's goalkeeper Valentin Silvanito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santo Guillelmo in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
