The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teobaldo Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arsenio Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Eriberto Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Teobaldo Federigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Teodolina's Eriberto Checa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gilbert AFC booed when Teodolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Pereyra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodolina's Eriberto Checa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Teodolina from getting a goal against them. Teobaldo Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Checa having to interfere. Clemente Seber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Oihan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorio Goyo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Arsenio Raymundo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gilbert AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Raymundo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Teobaldo Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gilbert AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Federigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Checa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilbert AFC's Arsenio Raymundo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristides Oihan scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Seber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilbert AFC's Clemente Seber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Oihan in the 36th minute of play. Teobaldo Federigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Eriberto Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eriberto Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Federigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Teobaldo Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Checa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Teodolina's Victorio Goyo got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Arsenio Raymundo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Gilbert AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Raymundo couldn't finish the play. Aristides Oihan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Seber came out and tried to block the shot, but Aristides Oihan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 81st minute. When Aristides Oihan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Teodolina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Oihan couldn't finish the play. Clemente Seber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Oihan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teobaldo Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Beila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Clemente Seber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Teodolina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
