The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raíces FC's Lorenzo Serapio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Ubarna in the 3rd minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Raíces FC's Evelio Frisco tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tobantirenda's Mauro Herensuge got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tobantirenda's German Ubarna got a free kick in the 15th minute. Leandro Garailes short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Valentin Egun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mauro Herensuge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Serapio having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Tobantirenda got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Erramun. When Mauro Herensuge came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Tobantirenda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Herensuge couldn't finish the play. Mauro Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, German Ubarna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lorenzo Serapio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st match minute, Tobantirenda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Veronica to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Tobantirenda's goalkeeper Valentin Egun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evelio Frisco. Valentin Egun made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Leandro Garaile sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute of the match Evelio Frisco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Egun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Tobantirenda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Flavio Mon made the kick off in the second half. Leandro Garaile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lorenzo Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Ubarna in the 54th minute of play. Tiburcio Hurko kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. German Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lorenzo Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Raíces FC's zone, German Ubarna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Serapio came out of the goal and German Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 83rdth minute of the game German Ubarna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raíces FC's Lorenzo Serapio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauro Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Jaen charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Jaen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the match, Tobantirenda's Carmelo Galeno broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tobantirenda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
