The supporters of Bengolea booed when Suncho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Damian Bermudez collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. A collision led to Bengolea getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Nicanor Montes hit a great ball. Suncho's Igor Hondo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 50th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bengolea.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Arce to make the kick off. When Omar Corderun came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Bengolea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Corderun couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Gau having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Gitano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bengolea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suncho the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bengolea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Suncho a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Igor Hondo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bengolea's Candido Mero. 2-1. Carmelo Olo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Gau came out and tried to block the shot, but Bonifacio Santio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 87th minute. Gerardo Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carmelo Olo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengolea's Francisco Sagrario couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 102nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Suncho.
