After 2 minutes, Zeledon Nastasio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gavilán FC and the Chaca players grew even worse after the yellow card. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gavilán FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Gavilán FC booed when Chaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Chorache didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gavilán FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Federico Mendebal hit a great ball. Aaron Brun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Oso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luisito Oso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gavilán FC's Abel Efraim got a free kick in the 38th minute. Luisito Oso scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Brun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisito Oso made a kick off. Alejo Odol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Aaron Brun made a huge save. The supporters of Chaca booed when Gavilán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Nastasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alejo Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Mendebal hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Aaron Brun made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Alejo Odol sent off a good shot on target. Abel Efraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Millano having to interfere. Alejo Odol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Gavilán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Oso came free, but Aaron Brun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Leonardo Jesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Gavilán FC's goalkeeper Aaron Brun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Odol. In the 80th minute, Alejo Odol made a precise shot to the right of Aaron Brun. Gavilán FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Abel Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Segundo Millano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Denis Cresitobalo fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gavilán FC's protests and gave Denis Cresitobalo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gavilán FC's Denis Cresitobalo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Alejo Odol struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Aaron Brun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaca. With a little luck, Gavilán FC's Aaron Brun got control of the ball when Alejo Odol tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Chaca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chaca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
