Marcelino Vistruario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelino Vistruario kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristobal Cresencio. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. When Almagro AFC's Constantino Kusko in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Godoy cruz's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Cipriano Dunixi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Almagro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Vistruario came free, but Cristobal Cresencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Abel scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristobal Cresencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Patricio Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Cresencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcelo Jakobe fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almagro AFC's protests and gave Marcelo Jakobe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Godoy cruz booed when Almagro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Jakobe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Dunixi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Bizen in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Godoy cruz had played much better football throughout.
