Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Independiente F.C's Filiberto Colon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freddy Valery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cleto Ciceron's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Independiente F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Ciceron came free, but Freddy Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Anier Muc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madariaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Muc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Valery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 played minutes Independiente F.C got a freekick which was hit by Siro Elia. When Osvaldo Salbatore fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente F.C's protests and gave Osvaldo Salbatore a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Salbatore hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Madariaga FC's Ezequiel Modestio tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Independiente F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anier Muc fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cleto Ciceron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Valery having to interfere. Freddy Valery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Ciceron in the 40th minute of play. Anier Muc's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Freddy Valery firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emilio Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Goi in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleto Ciceron to make the kick off. If Anier Muc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute Anier Muc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Valery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Colon in the 56th minute of play. Anier Muc scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Valery, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Independiente F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Ciceron came free, but Freddy Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Muc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anier Muc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Valery having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Anier Muc made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Independiente F.C's Freddy Valery tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The long shot by Siro Elia in the 79th minute really tested Emilio Errapel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Madariaga FC's Emilio Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Colon in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Independiente F.C got a corner. Madariaga FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Artal ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Muc in the 86th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Freddy Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Otsando hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. A collision led to Independiente F.C getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Domingo Otsando hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Anier Muc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Valery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Madariaga FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Independiente F.C for a fine match.
