The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Papo helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Celso Papo. Amadeo Jeraldo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Lucado in the 14th minute of play forced Luján AFC's goalkeeper Erubiel Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Erubiel Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anibal Oliverios fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luján AFC's protests and gave Anibal Oliverios a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Luján AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Oliverios. In the 28th minute of the match Cosme Salamon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erubiel Selatse skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente FC's zone, Anibal Oliverios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Azevedo came out of the goal and Anibal Oliverios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Lucado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Erubiel Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo Jeraldo did an outstanding performance 39 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Rogelio Azevedo in the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Papo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Luján AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Jeraldo. Erubiel Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Lucado in the 60th minute. If Anibal Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Jeraldo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Celso Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Erubiel Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Celso Papo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Independiente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Papo couldn't finish the play. In the last second Erubiel Selatse throw himself and got hold of the ball when Celso Papo in the 90thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Cosme Lucado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Independiente FC's Cosme Lucado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erubiel Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Independiente FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Luján AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
