Ruben Min's late challenge caught a Champagne fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Min helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Chilam Balam got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Min. A hard shot 27 in the game by Hermengildo Quinito from a close distance when the talented Cristobal Meder managed to make a qualified save. Chilam Balam's players were relieved. Hermengildo Quinito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristobal Meder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Hermengildo Quinito took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Meder. Cristobal Meder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Iratxo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Hermengildo Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champagne fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Quinito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ariel Castel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Chilam Balam booed when Champagne fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Iliana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Octavio Herensuge shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Meder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristobal Meder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Quinito's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Ariel Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Castel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cristobal Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chilam Balam's Cristobal Meder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Quinito in the 74th minute of play. The referee showed Teo Iliana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Teo Iliana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Champagne fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
