After having played for 8 minutes, Maximino Santikurtz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Santikurtz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Coatin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Ieltxu came free, but Feliciano Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximino Santikurtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Ekain having to interfere. Hernan Ieltxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Feliciano Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leones were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Coatin FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erubiel Bidari took the corner. The corner led Leones's Erubiel Bidari to fire away a dangerous shot which Feliciano Ekain despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Apolo Lawrence could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Evelio Ticho made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Leones's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apolo Lawrence fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 26 minutes, Edgardo Licerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coatin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Licerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 played minutes Coatin FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Licerio. Coatin FC's Feliciano Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Santikurtz in the 34th minute of play. Maximino Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Feliciano Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 46 minutes, Apolo Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coatin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Lawrence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 56th minute Edgardo Licerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maximino Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Maximino Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Ekain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hernan Ieltxu came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Leones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Ieltxu couldn't finish the play. When Ciro Quintin fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coatin FC's protests and gave Ciro Quintin a yellow card for diving instead. Edgardo Licerio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Maximino Santikurtz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Feliciano Ekain. The goal made the score 0-1. Feliciano Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Coatin FC's zone, Maximino Santikurtz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Ekain came out of the goal and Maximino Santikurtz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliciano Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Ieltxu in the 86th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
