In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tandil's goalkeeper Gaston Sengrat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomás Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Silvio Cordarrol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Hermon struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Silvio Cordarrol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tandil. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Lauaxeta in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Cordarrol saved Bonpland AFC from getting behind. Freddy Eliu in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gaston Sengrat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 15th match minute, Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Lauaxeta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bonpland AFC's zone, Tomás Lauaxeta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Cordarrol came out of the goal and Tomás Lauaxeta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristobal Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Lauaxeta in the 19th managed to get into a good position. The supporters of Tandil booed when Bonpland AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Orti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Sengrat having to interfere. A collision led to Tandil getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Severo Peter hit a great ball. Freddy Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Gaston Sengrat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Lauaxeta to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaston Sengrat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freddy Eliu went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gaston Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Orti in the 64th minute of the match. When Tomás Lauaxeta came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Tandil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Lauaxeta couldn't finish the play. Tandil's Gaston Sengrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Eliu in the 71st minute of play. Gaston Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Cugat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Freddy Eliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Orti in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaston Sengrat saved Tandil from getting behind. If Freddy Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorio Pinto during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Victorio Pinto hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Fabio Cugat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Gaston Sengrat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Sengrat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Orti, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Freddy Eliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Leon Orti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Peter to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Eliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tandil's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
