After a defensive mix-up in Hay Equipo FC.'s zone, Fermin Toro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Dominguez came out of the goal and Fermin Toro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Israel Venerando put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fabricio Pabla. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Hay Equipo FC.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atahona:s goal. The referee gave Atahona a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paolo Markel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hay Equipo FC.'s Manuel Dominguez. 1-2. 46 minutes into the game, Honorato Bittor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hay Equipo FC.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atahona the free kick. After the first half Hay Equipo FC. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fermin Toro to strike the kick off in the second half. Fermin Toro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute of the match Benicio Asur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Dominguez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mateo Bernebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Dominguez having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Hay Equipo FC.'s Atilano Pacho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabricio Pabla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Fabricio Pabla managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Hay Equipo FC.'s Atilano Pacho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manuel Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Toro in the 80th minute of the match.
