The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Curcio during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Martin Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldo Teofilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Lizar's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Octavio Donostia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Teofilio having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors FC's goalkeeper Laureano Cucao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Asur. After a defensive mix-up in hicken's zone, Israel Lizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Teofilio came out of the goal and Israel Lizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Octavio Donostia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Boca Juniors FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Donostia couldn't finish the play. If Octavio Donostia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Donostia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Cucao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Desiderio Chinto made the kick off in the second half. Israel Lizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Aldo Teofilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, hicken's Justino Quiroga got a free kick in the 56th minute. Aldo Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Lizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Alfredo Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. hicken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Octavio Donostia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, hicken's goalkeeper Aldo Teofilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Donostia. Aldo Teofilio made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Octavio Donostia sent off a good shot on target.
