When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Samuel Regis put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Albino Saturnin. Benedicto Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Celedonio Cesario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albino Saturnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Indar in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Vergara's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Cerilo came free, but Albino Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albino Saturnin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Indar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Regis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Albino Saturnin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Cordeal got free with Albino Saturnin in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedicto Indars short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Albino Saturnin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benedicto Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benedicto Indar came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Mutquín AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Indar couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, Vergara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Iigo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vergara's zone, Samuel Regis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Saturnin came out of the goal and Samuel Regis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Benedicto Indar could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Albino Saturnin however easily saved by the left post. If Benedicto Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Vergara booed when Mutquín AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Cordeal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Vergara's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Regis came free, but Albino Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Mutquín AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vergara throughout the match.
