Rafaela AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Vicente Rosario scored to the left of an out of position Modesto Mundo, making the score, 1-0. If Vicente Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Modesto Mundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batea.
