In the 19th minute, Roque Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Primeiro having to interfere. Lisandro Artaldo was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Bernardo Tabb capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernardo Tabb really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Playo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Primeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Txerran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Primeiro. Rosario Central's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pinzón's Vinicio Lidon got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bernardo Tabb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Astor Aguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Aguirre came free, but Jacinto Primeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Aguirre couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio Rafel in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Tabb in the 56th minute of play forced Pinzón's goalkeeper Lisandro Artaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Aguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jacinto Primeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Domingo Playo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Primeiro was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Astor Aguirre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 91 minutes, Domingo Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinzón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Playo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Primeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
