Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 10) Salvador Dodorol made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Bovril's Tadeo Santikurtz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Federico Ledesma's late challenge caught a Godoy Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Ledesma helped the player get up and apologised. Julian Rozarius kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Ernesto Chesus made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Godoy Cruz's Cipriano Guzman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Bovril booed when Godoy Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Ernesto Chesus notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Godoy Cruz's Cipriano Guzman. Cipriano Guzman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Godoy Cruz's Cipriano Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Santikurtz in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Tadeo Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Guzman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godoy Cruz's Cipriano Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Chesus in the 27th minute of play. Ernesto Chesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Chesus in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Guzman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadeo Santikurtz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Guzman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Cristo Grabiel put in a rough tackle. Cipriano Guzman went to the wrong direction when Ernesto Chesus was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. David Pabla took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Guzman. Cipriano Guzman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After the first half Bovril were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Godoy Cruz's Cipriano Guzman got control of the ball when Tadeo Santikurtz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Santikurtz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Guzman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Chesus hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ernesto Chesus 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. With his leg Cipriano Guzman managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Bovril's Tadeo Santikurtz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Artemio Gentza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Rozarius in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd play minute Tadeo Santikurtz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cipriano Guzman. 1-5. If Ernesto Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Santikurtz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cipriano Guzman came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeo Santikurtz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Chesus in the 82nd minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Cipriano Guzman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeo Santikurtz had several of the Godoy Cruz's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-7 score and a disappointed Cipriano Guzman as he didn't even see the shot coming. 94 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Chesus came free, but Cipriano Guzman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Chesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Bovril could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Godoy Cruz throughout the match.
