The audience thought a goal was coming when German Rivas got free with Modesto Benvido in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadores's Celedonio Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Neron in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Amadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Ibar to maneuver through the defense. Celedonio Gimenez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Mancio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Amadores's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Mancio came free, but Celedonio Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Amadores's zone, Hernan Neron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Gimenez came out of the goal and Hernan Neron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvaro Mancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernan Neron was the one to do the kick off. Hernan Neron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Celedonio Gimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When German Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Amadores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Rivas couldn't finish the play. Rene Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Benvido having to interfere. Alvaro Mancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Neron in the 83rd minute of play forced Amadores's goalkeeper Celedonio Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Amadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Gonza to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes, Egaña AFC's Anselmo Fiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celedonio Gimenez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
