An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Federigo in the 23rd minute of play forced Candelaria AFC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saldungaray's zone, Domingos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Librado came out of the goal and Domingos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Pero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Timoteo Federigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Pero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Librado having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Federigo in the 48th minute of play forced Candelaria AFC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timoteo Federigo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Candelaria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Fagondo came free, but Fulgencio Pero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Librado having to interfere. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Saldungaray's Nereo Lia got a free kick in the 75th minute. Tomas Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Oscar Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Botello in the 79th minute of the match.
