Uriel Berto came out of the goal and Santos Oliviero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giganton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Sombro the free kick. After 42 played minutes Giganton got a freekick which was hit by Santos Oliviero. Giganton's Alejo Txaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Giganton from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Victor Baristo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Sombro's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Baristo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Txaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejo Txaran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Baristo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 48 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Baristo was the one to do the kick off.
