Santo Hanot took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Urko. Alfonso Urko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Maquito booed when Vashington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Ponciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Santo Hanot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maquito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Santo Hanot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Urko. Vashington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Hanot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Gervasio Muno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Oroitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Urko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Hanot in the 89th minute of play. Ulises Ponciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Oroitz having to make a save. Maquito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
