Zetone fc's Melquiades Chale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Cloyo in the 15th minute of play. Javier Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Colon got free with Melquiades Chale in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Olo came free, but Javier Birila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Tibalt's late challenge caught a Zetone fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Tibalt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belgrano's Anacleto Tibalt got a free kick in the 25th minute. Rene Belmiro took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Birila. Javier Birila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Israel Truylos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Olo in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Birila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Olo in the 43rd minute of play forced Belgrano's goalkeeper Javier Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Olo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Javier Birila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Belmiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Zetone fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 minutes, Braulio Lonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zetone fc and the Belgrano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Belgrano booed when Zetone fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Lonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Javier Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Olo in the 55th minute of play. Isaias Pedroso, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rene Belmiro had several of the Belgrano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Javier Birila as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rene Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Birila having to interfere. Javier Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Olo in the 68th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Primitivo Cloyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zetone fc the free kick. Primitivo Cloyo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Olo in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Birila saved Belgrano from getting behind. Javier Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Olo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Olo came free, but Javier Birila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Cloyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Chale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
