Apolo Venceslao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Hodei in the 10th minute of the match. Celedonio Hodei hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Wilfredo Guipuzkoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Laurgain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Segundo Stephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. In the 43rd minute, Segundo Paublo made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Laurgain. Cañada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 46 minutes, Wilfredo Guipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Guipuzkoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Segundo Stephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Laurgain having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romulo Tiadoro made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cañada's Delmiro Cebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Venceslao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Wilfredo Guipuzkoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Laurgain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Wilfredo Guipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delmiro Cebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Apolo Venceslao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Cebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Cañada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Quilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Wilfredo Guipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Cañada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celedonio Hodei's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celedonio Hodei helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boca Juniors had won after a very even match.
