Jeronimo Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Fero having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Potrerillo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Bittor to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Armando Panpili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinalito and the Potrerillo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vinalito getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Armando Panpili hit a great ball. If Jeremias Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeronimo Mikelar took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fermin Fero. Fermin Fero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Paulino Ixidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrerillo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Ixidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Serapio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Gamus in the 33rd minute. Iker Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Serapio having to interfere. In the 38th minute Paulino Ixidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Serapio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vinalito's goalkeeper Manuel Serapio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Ixidor in the 40th minute of play. If Iker Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Vinalito were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jeronimo Mikelar made the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fermin Fero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Cidro lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Vinalito:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vinalito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
